Informativa privacy
In vigore dall'8 ottobre 2026
Allenamento
- Allenamenti, serie, routine, piano settimanale, esercizi personalizzati, sparring, combinazioni, note, infortuni che registri.
Corpo e salute (dati particolari)
I tuoi diritti
Modifiche
Privacy policy
Effective 8 October 2026
Brawn is an app for athletes: training, sleep, recovery, nutrition. This page explains what data it handles, why, who it is shared with and how to delete it. In short: your data only makes Brawn work for you. No ads, no sale of data, no third-party trackers or analytics.
Controller
Gianluca Meneghetti, developer of Brawn (ApexMene). Privacy contact: brawnapp.contact@gmail.com.
What data
- Account: username and password (the server keeps only a scrypt hash, never the password); with Google sign-in, your Google account id and email; your settings.
- Training: workouts, sets, routines, weekly plan, custom exercises, sparring, combos, notes, injuries you log.
- Body and health (special category data): weight and measurements, progress photos if you upload them, daily check-in; from Health Connect, only the types you allow: sleep and sleep stages, steps, active calories, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, workouts, weight; food, water, coffee, supplements and medicines you log.
- Location, microphone, camera: GPS only during an outdoor activity you start (the route is saved with that workout, never in the background); microphone only for voice commands (the phone's speech service does the recognition, Brawn receives text); camera only for photos and barcodes.
- Optional features: friends (requests, workouts you choose to share, likes, comments); a coach you link sees what Brawn shows them while the link is active; your own AI coach bridge, run with the AI service you choose, receives the chat and its context under that service's terms; Google Calendar and Notion if you connect them.
- Technical: IP address and device type in requests, for security (for example blocking repeated sign-in attempts).
Why, and on what basis
- To provide the service you asked for by creating an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Health data only with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), given at sign-up and withdrawn at any time by deleting that data or the account; Health Connect permissions are also managed in Android.
- Security and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- The Pro subscription is billed by Google Play; Brawn only receives its status, never card details.
Brawn does not use your data for advertising, does not sell it and builds no profiles for third parties. Scores and advice are computed for you; they are not medical diagnoses.
Health Connect
Use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Site survey and launch notice
If you fill in the survey we collect the answers you choose to give (sports, apps you use, spend, prices, comment) without an account and without linking them to you. If you leave your email, with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) we use it only for one email when Brawn launches. Answers and emails are stored on Brawn's server and in the controller's private Google Sheets file (Google as processor); your IP address is used only to limit abuse and is not stored with the answers. Answers are kept up to 24 months after launch; the email is deleted after the notice or when you ask at the address above.
Sharing
None, except the services behind the features you use: Oracle Cloud, which hosts Brawn's server in Milan as our processor; Google (sign-in, Calendar if connected, Play billing), Notion if connected, Open Food Facts (search terms and scanned barcodes), OpenFreeMap map tiles (OpenStreetMap data) downloaded directly by your phone, which see your IP address and the area shown (maps can be turned off in Settings), the AI service you chose for your AI coach, and authorities where the law requires it.
Where and how long
Data lives on Brawn's server in Italy (Oracle Cloud, Milan), reachable over HTTPS only. It is kept while you have an account; deleting the account erases account, data, photos and files at once, and nightly backups expire within 14 days.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent and portability: Profile → Export data downloads everything, Settings → Delete account erases everything (how); for anything else write to the address above, we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante).
Age
Brawn is for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the app tells you before the change applies.
